I remember I watched
the documentary about Alaska many years ago and I saw
how beautiful of that part of the world was. At that
time, I told myself I would, one day, visit this place
and do trekking in the back country.
In
summer of 2004, finally, I had a chance to see it with
my own eyes. Alaska is one of the most beautiful places
on earth that I have ever seen. The sky is crystal clear
and the glaciers are spectacular. Unfortunately, human's
greed has destroyed the beauty of Alaska, and the global
warming is making the glaciers receding in a very dangerous
rate.
While we were driving
from Anchorage to Seward; we passed a very lonely road.
With no vehicles in sight, I decided to stop the car,
ran to the middle of the road and sat down. My friend
took the camera out and captured this silly me picture
in the middle of the road.
It is one of my favorite
pictures I’ve ever taken.
