"So
i was the one with all the glory,
While you were the one with all the strain.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.
Did
you ever know that you're my hero,
And everything i would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
For you are the wind beneath my wings"
Wind Beneath My Wing by Bette Midler
Everytime
I watch this movie, I am tearful. And I dedicate this
song to my mom.

My
Best Friend's Wedding (1997)
This is the best romantic comedy that I have seen
so far. The thing that makes this movie even more
beautiful is the friendship between Julia Roberts
and Rupert Everett. There are a lot of beautiful scenes
I love, for example, when Everett sang "Say a
Liitle Prayer" to Julia during the dinner. Also,
at the end, when both of them are dancing in the wedding
party. That scene did bring my tears. I just wonder
how wonderful if these two best friends become a couple.
Lastly, the soundtrack of this movie is also great.

GO
(1999)
GO is an awesome indie movie. It plays with the way
the story is narrated. The story is about a girl who
is in need of money for her rent decides to sell the
Ectasy to two soap opera actors who are working undercover
for cops who promise to release them if they lead
the cops to the drug dealers. Unfortunately, she gets
herself into the ruthless mafia and something unpredictable
happens. Everything happens from this point. Since
it is told by three different people, the story is
very interesting when it is put together. You will
be surprised how smooth of each story are connected.

Stand
By Me (1986)
Stand by Me is based on Stephen King's novel "The
Body". The movie is so beautiful with friendships
of these four boys who share the feeling of unloved
and loneliness. They go for an overnight hike just
to find a body of a missing boy who has been disappeared
for a week. These four boys come together to share
their pains of childhood and unspeakable stories that
they never tell anyone. The feeling of unloved and
loneliness shape each character personality and future.
The sad thing is that we have lost one of the most
talented actor: River Phoenix in such a young age.
This is an unforgettably beautiful movie of the 80's.

Spirited
Away (2001)
This is the first animation movie that delighted me
when I was walking out of the theatre. The story of
a little girl named Chihiro who, by nature, is afraid
of everything around her. One day, her family visits
the old theme park that happens to be where all the
spirits are inhabiting. With hunger, her parents are
turned to be pigs after they ate food in that place.
She is destined to be the only one who can return
that curse and take her parents back home. Finally,
Chihiro can restore her parents with her courage,
determination and love. This is the very beautiful
animation ever. |

Beaches
(1988)
Everyone is different, even the best friend. However,
only the best friend, who no matter what happens,
will be with us until the end. Like this movie, it
starts with two totally different young girls meet
each other at the Atlantic city under the boardwalk,
and became a long life friend. Differences and distance
never come between their beautiful friendship. It
is a sad but beautiful story when friendship, eventually,
proves to be more long-lasting than one's life. Bette
Midler shows her amazing voice, particularly, in "Wind
Beneath My Wings" that will surely bring your
tears. |
