To the Deep of the Bottom
11/28/05
Have
you ever asked yourself how worse of your situation can be?
How deep of your grief can go?
Sometimes when life sinks into the abyss, we think it will bounce up soon. But sometimes it keeps falling. Like a stock that all the bad news has come out, the stock price sinks and we think it has bottomed out. But the fact is that it hits the new low.
Waiting for the situation to be improved is uncertain. To cut loss and swallow a bitter pill might be better than a hope of waiting for this sinking boat to recover. If it is a stock, we will just sell it out. Perhaps come back when the situation is better. But when it is a real life, what we can do is to move on no matter how bad the situation is.
Sometimes all the bad news come out in a short period of time that we do not even know how to deal with it. But who knows, maybe the worst has passed. If we can just hold our breath a little longer under the water, we might find ourselves gradually rising above the water.
Life is always up and down. Even though most of the time we might not really notice when we are up but it takes the whole attention from us when it is down, in particular, when the period of being down is like an eternity.
