The Ugliness of War
08/01/09
Whenever the war starts, people who have to shed their tears and blood are innocent people. Those who are ambitious and fighting in the name of their ideology lose nothing. Those who want to live in peace lose everything. At least 54 innocent Lebanese civilians, most of them sleeping children were perished by the Israeli bomb the past weekend. No reason can justify the war. No reward can make the war worth of innocent life. Both sides blame on each other for the cause of war. But it is those helpless people who have to sacrifice their life.

It is not about how this war started but it is about how to end it. This new round of war in the Middle East will never stop if the United States does not intervene. I believe the Israeli government has all rights to protect themselves but the lesson that they have taught Hizballah might be enough. More innocent people are dying. The longer of the war continues, the more backlashes to both the Israeli and the American will have to deal in the Islamic world. All Bush’s effort of creating the better American image among those Muslims will be in vain.
The world community seems to harmonize their voice of asking for the immediate ceasefire. But the United States is trying to delay this idea. It is just the Bush Administration’s ideology toward Middle East region after all.
To stop this bloodshed, write to your senators and urge them to ask Bush to implement the ceasefire.
