Late Night in the G Bar with Dr. Phil.

02/20/05

Yeah, I was playing a role of Dr. Phil last night.

We had 8 people at the G Bar. Plus, I invited one of my new friends to hang out with me. It was fun but it turned out to be a Dr.Phil’s show.

Life is full of drama, and yes, we are parts of it no matter we realize it or not.

My best friend and his boyfriend were going to break up!!! I was shocked because they are such a cute and compatible couple. They always throw parties. His boyfriend loves cooking and my best friend loves to entertain people. What a good match!!

Unfortunately, my best friend did something really stupid to his boyfriend. However, I am not going to go in details because he might find out later that I am taking advantages on his misfortune in my blog LOL.

I and two of his friends listened to the breaking up story that was quite terrible. His boyfriend was so drunk and upset, while my best friend was totally living in the sense of guilt.

After I had listened to that story, I found myself repeating to both of them that “EVERYONE FUCKS UP ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, NO ONE IS PERFECT!!!”.

I found myself playing a role of Dr. Phil, even though I was pretty fucked up myself too LOL. However, I consider them lucky LOL because I have recent experiences that I can share with them and give them lessons that I have learnt.

Therefore, I asked them to ask themselves if they could forgive, forget and move on. I think they should take a break from each other and look inside themselves if they found something worth of continuing this relationship at all. If they still love each other (even though they have been dating just 5 months), they might find the way to work it out. I reminded them to think about the good things they had together, how much they cared about each other and they had to ask a real serious question that if this incident was too serious to try to make it out at all?

I asked his boyfriend to forgive my friend (of course, I spanked my friend in front of him, but my friend liked it, I didn’t know why ? ) Seriously, I think everyone needs forgiveness sometimes. Who knows, in the future his boyfriend might need it too. I was not asking him to forgive my bad best friend again and again, but this was the first serious crime that my friend did. He might deserve the second chance.

I just did not want them to break up because of their impulsive anger. They might miss a great thing in their life without knowing it.
